INCOGNITO at Memphis Botanical Garden Center in January
Memphis Botanic Gardens is hosting an art exhibit and fundraiser called "INCOGNITO" during January. "Buy what you love, not who you know" is the theme so contributing artists are instructed not to sign our works, or give anyone a description of our art work to keep it truly INCOGNITO. It could be called IncogNEAT0: What a deal for collectors! All bidding starts at $40. For those of you who plan ahead, the event will be held on January 20th from 6-8. Please inform your friends of this fun event and encourage them to purchase Admission Auction tickets. Tickets for purchase are $25 for members and $35 for non members and include hors d'oeuvres and wine. Some contributing artists will be present to sign their works afterwards. Thank you all for helping to make this a great fund raiser for the Memphis Botanic Garden. P.S. I have completed a photo book of Memphis Botanical Gardens. Pick up one copy at the Holiday Fine Art Festival at Kirby, Poplar in the Carrefour Center for $25. or order one by contacting kfrancis427@gmail.com to purchase.

Memphis in May
(Memphis) During the Artist's Link Breakfast meeting this past week at Holiday Deli on Poplar, attendees heard about exhibits at the MOMA from Shelia and Jim who had just returned from a visit to NY. Norm announced he and two other collaborators would be exhibiting at WKNO in September. Members quizzed him on the theme of the show and offered suggestions for titles of the exhibition. Some went by The Dixon afterwards to see Private Memphis, works from fine art collections in the city.
The exhibit included fine examples of American genre painting from about one hundred years ago in the Plough room, and nudes in the Crump room. "Fusion" alone is worth the price of admission. For those who love dogs and hunting, wonderful works of these subjects are also up. The exhibit also includes some works by Belgian painters.
On this sunny day, a visit to North Main Street between Union and Peabody revealed an active lunch crowd at the outdoor patios of Flight, Local and Majestic. These restaurants are located just around the corner from the world famous Tea Room. Directly behind them on Front Street is a parking garage for $6.00 a day near the former Post Office, now Law Library.

Karen Francis Releases New Works As Prints Via Fine Art America
(Memphis, TN) American artist, Karen Francis, is placing her new artworks and classic favorites into the exciting print and card-making capabilities of Fine Art America with its online shopping options. Now the public may select the size and format from options such as
- unframed print,
- print on canvas, or
- framed,
all at very low prices versus traditional delivery methods. Even note cards are available, which could become a collector's item someday. The images being sent to Fine Art America by Ms. Francis are large files of high resolution to ensure excellent archival print quality, rather than the low resolution ones typically placed on the web. Ms. Francis' works, fifteen placed so far to date, are organized into galleries such as landscapes, florals, figurative, abstracts, and digitally enhanced photographic images plus her new series Florida, 2011. Fine Art America guarantees customer satisfaction with the prints they publish.
