Safer Streets for Cyclists was the Plea . . .

 

Safe Streets for Cyclists was the PleaExpressing Opinions

along with a Call for Cycle Lanes on Madison.  Excitement mounts two wheels in Memphis as the Green Line is being sewn together from Collierville, through to Germantown, to Shelby Farms near Cordova, all the way to Tillman.  Then a big blank exists until Cooper Street in Midtown.  Even with Madison cycle lanes from Cooper to Cleveland, a preferred route to the scenic riverside park paths along the Mississippi River and to the businesses and cafes along Main Street has yet to be determined.

Some wonder if the Mayor is getting the message about the opportunities safe bike lanes create for the city, such as reducing air pollution and drawing more cyclists to Memphis.

Auditions for Sea Sisters, the Play

Auditions for the first ever theatrical production of Sea Sisters will be held August 17, 18, 19 6:30-9:00 pm and August 20, 21 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Numerous parts. Eight females and eight males in the 25 - 35 age range. Six students, college age. Some dancers needed. Mature character cameo roles.
Auditions will be held at The Evergreen Theatre, 1705 Poplar Avenue Memphis, TN 38104
Park behind the building and enter through the Stage Door on the West side, please.
Sea Sisters will be presented at The Evergreen Theatre December 10, 11, 12, 2010--
"God willing and the creek don't rise."
In special need of Set Designer, Costume Coordinator, Prop Master, Stage Crew to build sets, Ushers. Please let us know if you can help!
