Reserve a week in beautiful Sarasota, Florida next January, 2013. Rent one (or even two or three) of my weeks at a lovely beachfront resort: one bedroom with den, two baths, (could sleep six) and kitchen in a prime location on Lido Key just off St. Armand's Circle which abounds with restaurants, shops and art. Visit the famous Ringling Brothers Estate: home, art museum, and circus museum. Visit the Car Museum, the Opera, the theaters. Enjoy coffee at the many cafes and bakeries. Explore the nearby keys and other cities of Florida. See the beautiful mansions, marinas and enjoy the beaches. One week rents for only $725. direct from the artist owner, which is below resort rates. Select from week two (Jan 12-19) , week three (Jan. 19-26), or week four (Jan. 26-Feb 2). This is the link to the Sarasota Sands Resorts . Sorry, no pets allowed. Amenities include a tennis court, clubroom with pool table, ping pong and video games, also, an indoor jacuzzi, exercise room, and outdoor pool. along with a Call for Cycle Lanes on Madison. Excitement mounts two wheels in Memphis as the Green Line is being sewn together from Collierville, through to Germantown, to Shelby Farms near Cordova, all the way to Tillman. Then a big blank exists until Cooper Street in Midtown. Even with Madison cycle lanes from Cooper to Cleveland, a preferred route to the scenic riverside park paths along the Mississippi River and to the businesses and cafes along Main Street has yet to be determined.
Some wonder if the Mayor is getting the message about the opportunities safe bike lanes create for the city, such as reducing air pollution and drawing more cyclists to Memphis.
About forty cyclists made the trek from Midtown all the way down Madison (about 3.5 miles) to the City Hall Plaza.
